The past five trade sessions on BSE went on just as the market experts we talked to at the beginning of the week predicted. They forecast moderate optimism, sluggish trade and no major swings for indexes.

SOFIX and BG40 ended on negative territory today. The blue chips lost 0.21% to 1421.82 points. Last Friday SOFIX closed at 1422.35, which is 0.04% up from today.

BG40 fell 0.25% to 405.97 points. The broad index adds 0.22% on a weekly basis.

BGREIT and BGTR30 were the only advancing indexes today, adding 0.17% to 102.43 and 0.05% to 927.28 points respectively. On a weekly basis BGREIT gained 1.32% and BGTR30 eked 0.26%.

BSE's daily turnover stood at 4.342 mln leva (2.22 mln euros), the value of block and other agreed transactions came to 1.294 mln leva (approx. 661,611 euros). 56 out of 123 active issues ended on positive territory.

22 stocks in BG40 closed at levels higher that last Friday. Severcoop Gamza Holding was the week's top gainer, climbing 11.65% to an average of 3.93 leva. The holding is planning another attempt to sell its stake in the Gabrovo-based Record Jsc.

Zaharni Zavodi is the second biggest climber adding 6.79% this week. The stock closed at 10.7 leva /share today. As you know, shares of the company from Gorna Oriahovitsa have fallen from 14.49 to 10.7 leva since January 11.

Sparky Eltos closed at an average of 13.53 leva, or 5.49% up from February 8. Shares issued in the capital increase of the Lovech-based company will be floated on BSE February 19.

The market value of Holding Varna A rose 4.6% this week to an average of 38.68 leva/share. Trade with the new shares issued in the capital increase starts Tuesday.

Bulgarian holding Company added 3.73% since last Friday and closed at an average of 5.56 leva today, while Favorit Hold rose 3.61% to 13.48 leva.

Other gainers this week are Polimeri (+3% to an average of 7.21 leva), Industrial Capital Holding (+2.14% to 8.58 leva), Advance Terrafund REIT (+2.01% to 2.03 leva) etc.

Chugunoleene was the biggest decliner, falling 6.72% this week to 25 leva/share. Next here are Balgarska Roza sevtopolis (+2.55% to 2.29 leva), Petrol (-2.24% to 6.97 leva), Euroins (-1.96% to 11 leva) etc.

According to a Profit.bg analysis, Polimeri and Decotex are very likely to leave BG40.

The broad indicator BG40 includes the 40 stocks with the most transactions for the past 6 months. According to statistics, those two have been the least liquid stocks between September 1 and January 31. BSE will announce the official results after the end of February.

We must bear in mind that the deadline for release of the consolidated reports is approaching.
