259.888 mln shares, or 90% of the capital of Bulgarian Communications Company (

) was transferred in two deals a couple of hours ago.

The price per share was 10.70 leva and the total value of the deal amounted to 2.78 bln leva (1.421 bln euros).

The transfer of the two stakes (of 65% and 25%) of BTC's capital became a fact after AIG Global Investment Group obtained the European Commission's approval to acquire a majority stake in the Bulgarian telco.

65% of the telco was transferred between Viva Ventures and AIG, via the intermediation of Raiffeisen Bank Bulgaria with brokers Hristo Durev and Martin Tarpanov.

The smaller 25% stake was transfered by SIBANK and the buyer is again AIG. The deal is the biggest in the history of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.

BTC's H1 profit dipped to 72.44 mln leva (37.037 mln euros), against 92.86 mln leva (47.478 mln euros) a year ago. Net sales revenues are down 5 mln leva (2.556 mln euros) to 508.1 mln leva (259.787 mln euros), while financial revenues drop from 4.3 mln leva (2.198 mln euros) to 1.95 mln leva (997,019 euros).
