This week was rich in news around public companies. Along with the corporate news, the last days of February also saw the release of many consolidated reports. This is a fact that boosted turnovers and investors' activity in general.

Trade with rights of Doverie United Holding started on BSE Monday and will continue through March 7. The company issued a total of 13,149,848 rights that would entitle to the subscription of 876,657 shares. 15 rights will entitle to the subscription of 1 new share. The company is planning a capital increase from 13,149,848 to 14,026,505 leva (7.171 mln euros).

Trade with rights issued by Fund for Energetics and Energy Savings REIT started on BSE on Tuesday and will continue through March 10. The fund is offering 325,000 shares at an issuing price of 3.2 leva. Five rights entitle to the subscription of one new share.

It emerged Tuesday that Standard and Poor's have informed the management of BACB that the bank's rating has been set under credit watch positive, because of the forthcoming sale of 50% of its capital to the Irish Allied Irish Banks PLC.

The news around the bank boosted its stock price, which became the most rising in BG40 on a weekly basis, adding 10.69% to 72.92 leva.

Severcoop Gamza made a third unsuccessful attempt to sell Gabrovo-based Regord Jsc. The holding's shares rose 2.06% this week to 3.96 leva.

On Thursday Polimeri announced plans to hike capital from 5.324 mln to 55.324 mln leva (28.286 mln euros). The news was not received quite well as shares plummeted 22.74% to 5.64 leva on Friday which is 21.12% down for the week.

BTC announced yesterday that it will seek shareholder approval for allocation of 235 mln euros for dividend payments. This pushed the stock 12.36% up today to 10 leva/share, compared with 8.9 leva last Friday.

Many public companies released their consolidated reports this week, which has an impact on stock trade.

13 stocks in BG40 advanced on a weekly basis. Besides BACB, other gainers include Favorit Hold (+3.11% to 14.27 leva), Bulgarian Holding company (+2.82% to 6.2 leva), Stara Planina Hold (+2.77% to 6.3 leva), Eurohold Bulgaria (+2.69% to 5.72 leva), Sopharma (+2.34% to 7.44 leva) etc.

Odessos Ship Repair Yard also ended the week on positive territory, gaining 7.32% to an average of 301.09 leva.

The following were among this week's decliners: Decotex (-8.84% to 2.27 leva), Fazerles (-4.82% to 216.05 leva), Alcomet (-4.76% to 11.61 leva) etc.

SOFIX closed at 1429.56 points, which is 1.2% above last Friday. BG40 climbed 1.1% to 410.02 points.

BGTR30 closed at 912.32, which is 1.2% down from February 22 and BGREIT fell 0.3% to 101.12.
