BSE Indexes Post Weekly Declines
The turnover of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to a record-low 407,000 on Friday. A total of 76 issues were traded on the day with 43 of the stocks posting price gains.
Three of the indexes ended Friday's session in positive territory: SOFIX (+1.31%, to 475.70 points), BG 40 (+0.89%, to 128.88 points) and BG TR30 (+0.78%, to 359.20 points). BG REIT was the only decliner on the day slipping by 0.55% to 48.45 points.
The indexes posted weekly declines ranging between 1.65% and 3.20%. The weekly change is as follows: SOFIX (-0.92%), BG 40 (-2.07%), BG REIT (-1.80%) and BG TR30 (2.13%).
The SOFIX is up by 32.63% in 2009, while BG 40 has lost 19.54% so far. BG TR30 has added 31.66% to its value this year, while BG REIT has lost 0.16%.
A total of nine of the companies included in the calculation of the broader BG40 index posted weekly advances. The best performers over the week included Trace Group Hold (+1.92%, to an average price of 77.87 leva per share), KTB (+1.42%, to 59.81 leva) and Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria (+1.33%, to 0.76 leva).
