Balkancar Zarya's H1 Operating Revenue Up 51.5% Y/Y

Balkancar Zarya () posted a 51.5-percent year on year increase in operating revenue for the first six months of 2008, the non-consolidated report of the company shows.

The net sales revenue amounted to 4.56 mln leva as at the end of June 2008, compared to 3.02 mln leva a year earlier.

The costs of the company totaled 4.51 mln leva in the first six months of the year, up by 59% year on year. The increase may be put down to the material costs which stood at 2.56 mln leva in the first half of 2008, compared to 1.49 mln leva for the year-ago period.

The results also had a negative effect on the non-consolidated profit of the company, which shrunk from 193,000 leva to 78,000 leva.

The balance-sheet value of Balkancar Zarya's assets stood at 14.77 mln leva as at the end of June 2008, compared to 14.16 mln leva as at the end of 2007.

The non-current liabilities of the company totaled 11.09 mln leva as at June 30, 2008, compared to 11.12 mln leva six months earlier. The current liabilities rose from 557,000 leva to 1.12 mln leva.

The issued capital of the company amounted to 1.32 mln leva, while the equity capital stood at 2.56 mln leva, compared to 2.48 mln leva as at the end of 2007.

Balkancar Zarya's stock was last traded on July 11 at a price of 7.24 leva per share.
