BG40 fell to a four-month low today, after losing 3.50% to 462.02 points, the lowest since September 15.

SOFIX dropped 4.48% to 1561.34 today nearing end-of-August 2007 levels. BGTR30 and BGREIT lost 2.72% and 1.25%, respectively, to 1008.25 and 102.05 points.

Total daily turnover came to 18.101 mln leva (9.254 mln euros), the value of block and other reported OTC transactions stood at 1.011 mln leva (approx. 516,916 euros). The active issues today were 162 (versus 148 yesterday).

Trade was very active on the positions of Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity REIT, Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria and Petrol Jsc.

The stock of the real estate investment trust lost 0.87% to an average of 2.28 leva at a turnover of 1.227 mln shares. Zarnenu Hrani Bulgaria fell 1.23% to 4 leva.

Petrol Jsc rose 2.93% to 5.27 leva. A transaction at 5.87 leva was also recorded.

Banks shares were falling today. Bulgarian-American Credit Bank slid 7.04% to 72.58 leva, First Investment Bank and Central Cooperative Bank lost 1.40% and 0.43%, respectively, to 11.27 and 9.32 leva.

Albena Invest Holding and TK Hold added 0.53% and 1%, respectively, to 19.00 and 7.07 leva.

At the end of the trade session the market capitalization of companies on BSE stood at 26.711 bln leva (13.657 bln euros), versus 28.987 bln leva (14.820 bln euros) at the end of December 2007.
