There were 250 trade sessions on BSE this year. The bourse's annual turnover stood at 9.946 bln leva (5.085 bln euros), or an average of 39.78 mln leva (20.339 mln euros) per session, according to official statistics.

The number of transactions this year came to 490,551, or an average of 1,962 per day. 1.11 bln shares changed hands, which makes 4.443 mln per day on average.

Last year there were 213,600 transactions worth 3.384 bln leva (1.730 bln euros). The average daily number of deals stood at 857.83, and tunover averaged 13.59 mln leva (6.948 mln euros) per trade session. We remind that there were 249 trade sesions in 2006.

In 2005 the number of transactions was 18% higher than in 2006 (259,189), annual turnover was 6% higher (3.581 bln leva, 1.830 bln euros).

At the end of 2005 the market value of companies listed on the local stock exchange amounted to 8.434 bln leva (4.312 bln euros). The figures rose 82% a year later to 15.314 bln leva (7.829 bln euros), and 89.28% this year to 28.99 bln leva (14.822 bln euros).
