The overall trading turnover of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 43.944 mln leva (22.46 mln euros) in the period May 19 to 23, Profit.bg data show.

The value of the transactions sealed in the regular trading sessions totaled 35.134 mln leva (17.96 mln euros) accounting for 79.86% of the overall turnover. The lowest daily turnover was recorded on Friday (5.872 mln leva), while the highest was on Monday (10.576 mln leva).

The number of daily transactions ranged from 1,283 on Friday to 4,111 on Tuesday.

The total number of the deals sealed last week on BSE stood at 12,609, which translates into an average of 2,521.8 transactions daily.

A total of 207 issues were traded in the period, compared to 212 for the previous week.

The SOFIX blue-chip index advanced by 2.15% to 1,250.12 points in the period May 19 to 23, while the broader BG40 index added 4.65% to 348.42 points.
