BSE's Capitalization Reaches 28 Bln Leva
The capitalization of Bulgarian Stock Exchange reached 28 bln leva (14.316 bln euros), after the main index SOFIX added a little over 15% just in September – an advance western bourses achieve in a year.
Six of the 20 largest companies in terms of capitalization on the local stock market have a market value of more than 1 bln leva.
Bulgarian Telecommunications Company and Chimimport continue to lead this chart with market values of a little over 3 bln and 2.25 bln leva (1.150 bln euros), respectively, which accounts for 11% and 8% of BSE's total capitalization.
CB First Investment bank ranks third with 1.45 bln leva (741.373 mln euros), or 5.18%. Drujba Staklarski Zavodi came second with 1.14 bln leva (582.872 mln euros), after a strong gain on the position over the past several weeks.
The heavy industry's Kremikovtzi and Alcomet occupy the two bottom spots with 464 mln (237.239 mln euros) and 342 mln leva (174.861 mln euros), respectively.
Potential entries to the chart are Synergon Holding, Orgachim and Industrial Holding Bulgaria. The latter will surely move forward in the chart after the completion capital increase procedures.
The total capitalization of all 20 stands at 18.4 bln leva (9.407 mln euros), or 69% of the total BSE cap.
