BSE's market capitalization rose 34.17% in Q3, while y/y increase is 148.66%, shows statistics released by the Financial Supervision Commission.

The sector of Financial Intermediation has the largest share in the capitalization of the stock market - 33.17%, while the sector Operations with real estate, renting and business services has the highest share in free-float trade - 36.83%.

The sector with the highest percentage of foreign participation in capital is that of Manufacturing and production of non-metal goods (99.29%), followed by the sector of Production of wood, paper, cardboard and paper goods, printing and polygraph activity - 41.78%.

According to information dated September 30, the companies in SOFIX are responsible for 443.86% of the BSE's capitalization and for 26.62% of Q3 transactions of shares on the stock exchange. They also generated 71.56% of total turnover and 68.08% of BSE's trade volume in Q3 2007.

BG40 companies are responsible for 55.64% of the bourse's market capitalization for the period concerned. Trade with shares of these companies accounts for 72.11% all transactions of shares, 74.18% of turnover and 57.38% of trade volume.

On September 3 BSE introduced two new indexes. These are BGREIT, which includes the real estate investment trusts (REITs) and BGTR30, calculating the return on the stocks included in it. The companies in BGREIT are responsible for 2.59% of the bourse's market capitalization, 1.14% of turnover and 3.22% of the trade volume for Q3.

The companies in BGTR30 account for 58.01% of the total market capitalization, 75.57% of turnover and 50.99% of trade volume. 72.22% of all transactions of shares on BSE in Q3 are with shares of the companies in BGTR30.

In Q3 The Financial Supervision Commission approved IPO prospectuses of four companies. The total value of the four issues stood at 265.19 mln leva (135.590 mln euros).

At the end of Q3 net assets of collective investment schemes in Bulgaria reach 890.19 mln leva (455.14 mln euros). This is a 327.21% increase year-on-year. On September 30 there were a total of 50 mutual funds and 11 investment companies registered by the FSC. There are 27 management companies, controlling assets in the amount of 1,039,75 mln leva, which is 54.29% up from previous quarter and 235.78% up from a year ago.

As of September 30, there are 54 real estate investment trusts (REITs). The assets accumulated by these companies top 1 bln leva, and on September 30 stood at 1.004 bln leva. 90% of these companies offer securitization of real estate, and of these six offering securitization of agricultural land (their assets amount to 33.89% of all REIT assets).

7.60% of BSE's trade volume in Q3 can be attributed to REITs. They are also responsible for 1.49% of total turnover, 4.11% of transactions and 4.04% of the bourse's market capitalization.
