Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) will launch two new indexes as of July 1, 2008, the bourse said yesterday.

The two new indexes are BET-XT (Bucharest Exchange Trading Extended Index) and BET-NG (Bucharest Exchange Trading Energy & Related Utilities Index).

BET-XT is a blue chip index and reflects the price evolution of the most liquid 25 shares traded on the BVB regulated market, including the SIFs. The maximum index weight a company can hold is 15%.

BET-NG, the sectorial index, reflects the price movement of the companies traded on BVB's regulated market which have the main business activity located in the energy sector and the related utilities. The maximum index weight a company can hold is 30%.

BET-XT and BET-NG are calculated based on the same methodology as the other BVB indices(BET, BET-FI and BET-C): market capitalization weighted index, adjusted by the free-float and the representation factors. The periodical adjustments take place quarterly and the operational ones any time is required by a corporate event of the index member companies.
