A Bulgarian defence company is expected to carry out the order of Spanish-Bulgarian company
Eolica Bulgaria for manufacturing elements of a future wind energy park to be set up in the land-use area of Souvorovo municipality near Varna, Economy and Energy Minister Peter Dimitrov told a news conference on Tuesday.

Dimitrov presented a First Class Investor Certificate to Eolica Bulgaria on Tuesday. A total of 175 million Bulgarian leva will be invested in the project.

The construction is expected to start in 2009, and the electricity production will begin as of
early 2010. The company has concluded a preliminary contract with the National Electric Company. The investment is expected to be repaid after 12 to 13 years.

The company plans to construct 30 towers with capacity of 60 MW and the capacity is expected to increase several times in five years.
