Bulgarians ski-resorts offers are flooding the market in Romania this year and will be a serious competition to the local resorts, the Romanian Kotidianul newspaper reports. The issue also states that Bulgarians will be relying mainly on Romanian tourists this winter.

The most popular winter resorts in Bulgaria are Bansko, Borovetz and Pamporovo.

It is expected that a lot of Romanians will prefer to go to Bulgaria for their winter holiday this year, because they are close to their country, and because of the attractive prices.

Closest to Bucharest is Borovetz – just 470 km away. Pamporovo and Babnkso are 520 and 550 km away, respectively.

Prices in three star hotels there are between 22 and 30 euros, and can fall up to 18 euros per day plus breakfast at the beginning of February.

A night at a five-star hotel costs 55 euros per day, and can go up to 100 euros per day during special holidays, the Romanian issue states.
