Income per Bulgarian household stood at 5,863 leva in 2006, while total income was 7,140 leva, National Statistical Institute (NSI) data shows. Cash flow per capital was 2,342 leva last year, and total income reached 2,851 leva, BTA reported.

Average cash expenses per household stood at 5,595 leva in 2006, and per capita – 2,235 leva.
Of total expenses, 34.2% went to food and beverages, 4.7% - alcohol and tobacco, 3.6% - clothing and shoes, 14.8% - bills.

4.9% were spent on healthcare, 6.3% - on transport, 5.2% - on messages, and 3.8% - on spare time, education and entertainment.

Total expenses per household last year were 6,460 on average, and per capita – 2,580 leva, NSI data shows.
