DSK Asset Management, Raiffeissen Asset Management and Elana Fund Management were the three largets asset management companies in Bulgaria at the end of 2007, according to data provided by BSE and Profit.bg.

Each of the three companies mentioned above controls more than 100 mln leva (51.129 mln euros). Capman Asset Management and Karoll Capital Management are next with assets topping 90 mln leva.

DSK Asset Management added 91.8 mln leva to its assets in 2007, which is the biggest hike among Bulgarian schemes. Next in the chart is Elana Fund Management adding 81.04 mln leva during the past year.

Three other companies ended the year with a hike in assets of more than 70 mln leva, these are Capman Asset Management, Raiffeissen Asset Management and Karoll Capital Management.
UBB Asset Management added 41 mln leva to 54.89 mln leva (28.064 mln euros) at the end of 2007. As we have already pointed out, the banks' established branch network is an important advantage in attracting funds.

According to Profit.bg statistics, the assets of Bulgarian collective investmenst schemes totaled some 885.021 mln leva (452.504 mln euros) at the end of 2007. According to the Financial Supervision Commission those stood at 315.18 mln leva (161.148 mln euros) a year ago, and at 94.241 mln leva (48.184 mln euros) at the end of 2005.
