The month of June is one of the most interesting for investors on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), mostly due to the forthcoming annual general shareholders’ meetings of the companies.

The general shareholders’ meeting of Sopharma will take place today (June 9). The shareholders will put to vote a proposal for the distribution of 6.6 mln leva as dividend, or 0.05 leva dividend per share.

The general shareholders’ meetings of Fazerles and Hydraulic Elements & Systems are slated take place on June 12 (Thursday).

The shareholders of Fazerles will approve/reject a proposal for the distribution of 515,000 leva of the company’s profit for 2007 as dividend. The shareholders of Hydraulic Elements & Systems and the ones of Stara Planina Hold, who will convene a day later, will put to vote a proposal for the repurchasing of up to 3% of the shares in the respective companies.

The shareholders of Odessos Shiprepair Yard and Albena will meet on Saturday to discuss the distribution of last year’s profit of the two companies.

The SOFIX blue-chip index slipped 2.75% to 1,225.34 points last week, while the broader BG40 index lost 3.33% on a weekly basis, closing at 338.39 points on Friday. A total of 6,648 deals with a combined value of 47.5 mln leva were sealed on BSE last week.

A total of 206 issues were traded last week, while the number of block and other registered trades came to 60.
