Chimimport was the most liquid stock in the broader BG40 index and among all companies listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) in the period March 24 to 28.

A total of 741 deals with a total value of 2.1 mln leva were sealed on the position of Chimimport in the period, Profit.bg data show. Eurohold Bulgaria and Monbat rank second and third with 536 and 475 transactions, respectively.

First Investment Bank (FIBank) and Lead & Zinc Complex round out the top five with 302 and 245 deals, respectively. A total of 17 companies included in the calculation of the BG40 registered more that 100 transactions each over the last five trading sessions.

Zaharni Zavodi, Holding Varna A and Chugunoleene were the least liquid stocks in the period with 74, 24 and 5 transactions, respectively.

Chimimport, Monbat, Corporate Commercial Bank and FIBank were BG40's only constituents to register more than 1 mln leva turnover each over the last week.

A total of 5,511 transactions with a combined value of 17.09 mln leva (8.73 mln euros) were sealed in BG40's stocks last week, compared to 7,868 deals with a combined value of 27.8 mln leva (14.21 mln euros) recorded for the previous week.
