From March 6 to 8 2007 the Bulgarian embassy in London organized an international conference dedicated to the opportunities for investment in Bulgaria, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conference, held in London for a second year, is titled Presenting Bulgarian Businesses to the UK Capital Markets.

The event is co-organised by the British consultancy company Financial Services for Eastern Europe, the Association of Industrial capital in Bulgaria and the Association of Directors for Relations with Investors in Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian companies participating in the conference include: Monbat AD, Eurohold Bulgaria AD, Euroins AD, Enemona AD, Agria AD, UniCredit Bulbank, Central Cooperative Bank, Bul Trend Brokerage, Sofia International Securities, UBB, Libra, Tocheva & Mandadzhieva Law Office and Agency for Investments and Consultations AD.

The conference is chaired by Prof. Dimiter Ivanov, economic adviser of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. Considerable interest is expected on the part of British investors. More than 60 companies registered for participation in the forum, including: Prise Waterhouse Coopers, EBRD, Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, CA IB, Investor Relation Society, Coghill & Beery, Credit Suisse, IG Markets, JP Morgan, UK Trade & Investment, Norvik Banka, Evolution, Auctor Capital Partners Limited, Auctor Capital Partners Limited, DRUM Risk Management, Firebird Management, Plaza Holding, Firebird Management, Nomura International, Morgan Stanley, Eversheds, Mobsby Associates, AURA Net work Corporation, Sanderson Weatherall, AXA Group, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking.

The event is part of the initiatives of the Bulgarian embassy in London financed with funds from the Communication Strategy of the Foreign Ministry for 2007.
