Bulgaria's Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) has given green light to Dutch Wild Mountain Holding BV to acquire full control over cable operators Vikom Bulgaria and CableTel.

The concentration of economic activity, which is to follow after the acquisition, concerns the market for cable television broadcasting, Internet access and telephony.

The transaction will be carried out through the acquisition of 100% of the shares of UK-registered Ramford Communications Limited, which owned indirectly the two cable operators so far.

Wild Mountain Holding has not conducted any business activity in Bulgaria so far and the planned acquisition will not change the structure of the market, according to the CPC experts.

The company plans to make investments and to work towards the consolidation of the sector, as well as to develop the existing technologies and improving the quality of the services.
