The positive start in today's early trade could not last until the end of the session and the indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed mixed. The broader BG40 index and the BG TR30 index of best performers in total return ended the day on positive turf. The BG40 advanced by 0.68% to 345.27 points, while the BG TR30 closed 0.84% higher at 816.71 points.

The SOFIX blue-chip index and the BGREIT index of real estate investment trusts each shed 0.5% of their value on the day. The SOFIX closed at 1,202.87 points, while the BGREIT ended at 95.91 points.

A total of 124 stocks were traded today, while BSE's trading turnover amounted to 8.73 mln leva. Petrol was a major contributor to today's relatively high turnover figure. A total of 819,199 shares in the company traded hands on the day at an average price of 5.99 leva apiece. The stock appreciated by 10.11%.

A total of 64 of the stocks traded today closed up, while the price of other 14 remained unchanged. The combined value of the block deals and other registered trades amounted to 1.1 mln leva.

A total of nine of SOFIX's constituents ended today's session with gains, while 10 other blue chips closed lower, Profit.bg data shows. The ratio of gainers to decliners within the BG40 index stood at 23:17 today. The ratio stood at 7:4 and 17:13 for the BG REIT and BG TR30, respectively.

Petrol was BSE's most traded company today with 107 transactions, followed by Chimimport (78 deals) and Eurohold Bulgaria (68 transactions).

Three of the companies included in the calculation of the SOFIX lost more than one 1% of their value today. Bulgarian American Credit Bank's stock depreciated by 1.94% to 68.65 leva per share. Only six shares in the financial institution changed hands today. Euroins' stock price went down by 1.29% to an average of 9.19 leva per share with 1,654 shares traded. A total of 529 shares in Toplivo traded hands on the day. The stock depreciated by 1.36% to an average of 19.53 leva per share.

Sparky Eltos was BSE's biggest winner today. The stock appreciated by 8.06% to an average of 13.68 leva per share. A total of 2,150 shares in the company were traded. Orgachim's stock price rose by 2.45% to an average of 400.19 leva per share, while Lead & Zinc Complex's stock advanced by 2.25% to an average of 43.28 leva per share, recovering last week's losses.

Some of BSE's other gainers today included Alcomet (+11.63% to 10.94 leva per share), Polimeri (+9.02% то 4.11 leva per share), Web Media Group (+8.3% то 2.48 leva per share), Billboard (+2.45% to 9.63 leva per share), Chimimport (+1.66% to 8.59 leva per share) and Synergon Holding (+0.45% to 8.97 leva per share).

Some of BSE's losers included Todorov (-1.29% to 1.53 lva per share), M+S Hydraulic (-0.91% to 9.76 leva per share), Industrial Holding Bulgaria (-0.78% to 7.66 leva per share), First Investment Bank (-0.53% to 7.55 leva per share).
