With just one business day left in 2007, it looks as if the BSE will see an American-style happy ending of the year. In spite of some fluctuations, three (out of four) indexes on BSE ended today's session with significant advances.

The blue chip indicator SOFIX rose 4.51% to 1731.24 and BG40 managed to break the 500 again, adding 3.51% to 505.16 points. BGTR30 added back 4.07% and closed at 1081.98 points. Only BGREIT failed to emerge, losing 0.24% to 99.45.

The block segment's turnover was boosted by the transfer of 7.390 mln shares of First Investment Bank at 1 lev each. Also, 29,330 shares of Odessos Ship Repair Yard changed hands at 228.430 leva/share.

Of 145 active issues today, 111 advanced, and 11 stayed unchanged.

The only decliner on the Official Market was Sparky Eltos, which dropped 1.79% to an average of 16.44 leva at a turnover of 13,280 shares.

The biggest gainer on the Official Market is once again Petrol. 100,942 shares changed hands at prices between 4.9 and 5.37 leva, as a result of which, the market value of the fuel distributor grew 3.63% to 5.14 leva.

Sopharma added 5.56% to an average of 8.74 leva/share. 36,311 shares were transferred at prices between 8.49 and 8.99 leva.

It was a good day for Varna-based Chimimport and its subsidiaries as well. Chimimport shares gained 4.3% and tomorrow will open at 15.04 leva at a turnover of 88,843 units.
