Sofia-based Voluntary Insurance Network Zdrave Jsc (DOM-Zdrave) continues to increase its market share. DOM-Zdrave occupied the second highest share of the market (17.83%) as at the end of May, data of the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) showed. Generali Zakrila had the highest share of the market as at the end of May - 29.12%.

DOM-Zdrave booked 2.32 mln leva premium income as at the end of May, up by 43.39%, compare to the corresponding period of 2007.

The fund occupied a total of 13.94% of the market in terms of claims settled. The value of the claims rose by 59.01% compared to the year-ago period.

The company has partnerships with 800 medical clinics in Bulgaria, with more than 10,000 medical practitioners and with 750 pharmacies across the country.

The general shareholders' meeting of the company was held at the end of June. The board of directors of DOM-Zdrave was authorized to carry out a capital increase to 20 mln leva in a three-year period through the issuing new shares with 1 lev par value each and/or bonds (including convertible).
