The combined premium income of Euroins Bulgaria, Euroins Romania, Euroins Osiguruvanje and Health insurance company St. Nikolas JSC, which are all included in the structure of Euroins Insurance Group (EIG), amounted to 64.7 mln leva (33.08 mln euros) in the first five months of 2008, up 32% year on year, x3news reported.

Euroins Bulgaria (

) booked 31.04 mln leva (15.87 mln euros) premium income for the period January to May, up 42%, compared to the corresponding period of 2007. The premium income of the company from cargo insurance marked a 96-percent increase in the period, followed by Casco and Property insurance, which grew by 58.6% and 40.1%, respectively.

The premium income from the sale of insurance policies in Spain stood at 25,000 leva (12,780 euros) three weeks after the company launched operations in the country. The average insurance premium stands at 655 leva (335 euros).

Euroins Bulgaria forecasts 87.9 mln leva (44.94 mln euros) premium income for 2008. The P/S ratio of the company currently stands at 0.93, if the premium income forecasts are taken into consideration.

Euroins Romania and Euroins Osiguruvanje each posted a 24-percent year on year rise in premium income for the first five months of the year. Euroins Romania booked 29.2 mln leva (14.92 mln euros) premium income for the period, while the premium income of Euroins Osiguruvanje amounted to 4 mln leva (2.04 mln euros).

Health insurance company St. Nikolas JSC booked a 65-percent year on year increase in premium income to 413,000 leva (211,160 euros).

EIG forecasts that the combined premium income of the four companies will amount to 185 mln leva in 2008.
