The government provided an additional 13,460,000 leva for the construction of a new access channel as part of the project for the expansion of the Port of Bourgas, the Council of Ministers information service said Thursday.

The funds are on account of budget credits under the project forreconstruction and electrification of the Plovdiv-Svilengrad railway line.

By the end of the year the subsidy funds are expected to be absorbed for expropriation procedures and accompanying activities, while a limit of 19,217,575 leva will remain from the state investment loans for this project.

The project is developed with loans from the japan Bank for International Cooperation and cofunding on the Bulgarian
side.
