Bulgarian Hemus Air carrier obtained a second frequency for flying to the Albanian capital and will now offer two or three flights weekly, depending on the season, Hemus Air Regional
Director Tony Bonev said here Friday.

Bonev is part of the business delegation accompanying Transport Minister Peter Moutafchiev on an official visit to Albania.

The Hemus flights to Tirana are part of a larger package of Balkan destinations to be included in the air carrier's winter schedule, Hemus Air Executive Director Dimiter Pavlov said in Sofia.

At the moment Hemus Air, part of Hemus Group which last year acquired the national air carrier, Bulgaria Air, flies to Tirana once weekly, with fully booked flights, Bonev said.

The air service agreement between Bulgaria and Albania was signed in February 2002. The agreement builds up on all principles of equal and fair opportunities, air carriage experts said.
