Today's trade session was the last in May and was a very interesting and dynamic one for the capital market. Indexes were on negative territory almost all day, but still, three of them managed to close the day higher.
SOFIX added 1.28% to 1260 points and BG40 rose 0.42% to 350.04. BGTR30 climbed 0.83% to 843.11. BGTR30 was the only declining indicator today, closing at -0.97% to 96.14.
On a weekly basis, SOFIX, BG40 and BGTR30 are up. Their weekly advances are smaller than the ones registered May 23, which on the hand were smaller than the ones on May 17.
SOFIX climbed 0.79% this week, BG40 rose 0.46% and BGTR30 eked 0.1%. The real estate investment trusts index BGREIT fell 0.45% below this week.
For the first time in quite some time now, indexes end the month well – all four BSE indexes advance in May. BG40 is the biggest gainer, surging 13% in May, followed by the blue chip SOFIX (+11.33%), BGREIT (1.6%) and BGTR30 (8.89%).
Advancers outnumbered decliners in BG40 in a 21/17 proportion. Three positions were unchanged.
Holding Varna A is the best performer within the broad index. The stock added 8.44% to 34.16 leva.
Zaharni Zavodi gained 6% to 10.6 leva and TK Hold climbed 5.64% to 5.81 leva.
Plimeri, on the other hand, declined 13.26% to 4.58 leva, after a short surge last week.
Aroma loses 9.61% to 3.67 leva and Kaolin closed at 11.09 leva, which is 6.65% down from yesterday.
