The pressure on the stock of public companies on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange grew stronger on Friday and hurt SOFIX issues especially. The indicator lost 2.02% to 1823.36 points, reaching lowest level for the second time this week.

BGREIT declined 1.31% to 1151.44 points, which is 41.99 down on a weekly basis. BG40 dropped 1.14% today to 562.21 points. On a weekly basis the index dropped 4.25 points.

The BGREIT issues were the only advancing issues today. The index added 0.56% to 103.37 points. Last Friday BGREIT stood at 105.3 points.

Trade this week was very active and culminated on Wednesday when we witnessed an attempt to reverse the trend. The past five days were successfully only for three BG40 companies – Industrial Capital Holding, Toplivo and BTC.

Industrial Capital Holding added 3.29% on a weekly basis and closed at an average of 12.25 leva today. This week 110,666 shares changed hands in 346 transactions worth a total of 1.331 mln leva (680,529 euros). Another 1,600 shares changed hands on a block segment. Bids are at 12.21 leva and asks at 12.25 leva.

Toplivo added 3.08% on a weekly basis to 33.81 leva. There were a total of 186 transaction for the period, in which 95,772 shares changed hands, turnover on the position stood at 3.226 mln leva (1.649 mln euros). Bids are at 33.56 leva and asks at 34 leva.

The other advancing issue this week was BTC. The telco was taken off SOFIX calculation this week.

The pressure took its toll on the rest of BG40 issues. Balgarska Roza Sevtopolis suffered the most. The stock dropped 10.43% this week to an average of 3.35 leva. Waiting bids are at 3.21 leva and asks at 3.69 leva.

Albena Invest Holding also declined seriously. In the past five days shares lost 9.83% to an average of 20.65 leva. Bids are at 21.1 leva and asks at 22.08 leva.

The following issue declined more than 7% - Chugunoleene (-34.97% to 34.97 leva), Himko (-7.69% to 0.24 leva), Industrial Holding Bulgaria (-7.35% to 13.36 leva), and Eurohold Bulgaria (-7.05% to 7.78 leva).

Three companies lost between 6 and 7%. These are M+S Hydraulic (-6.81% to 14.91 leva), Stara Planina Hold (-6.08% to 8.49 leva), and Balgarska Roza Sevtopolis (-6.03% to 6.7 leva).
