Today is the deadline of the period in which Bulgarian companies have to submit their annual financial reports. This affects 60,000 companies registered between Jan -May this year. As usual, Bulgarian businesses will do that in the last minute, bTV reported.

The Registration Agency is working extra hours and its offices were open over the weekend to make it more comfortable for businesses.

Less than 1/3 of companies have filed their reports so far, according to the Registration Agency. The fine for not observing the deadline is 1,300 leva. A tolerance period of up to one week may be granted.

In order to encourage businesses to file papers online, the government will reduce the state fees by 1/3 in the case. This means merchants will not only save time, but also save money if they use the internet to communicate with the agency.
