Just three of the stocks included in the calculation of the broad BG40 closed the week higher compared with April 11. These are Sparky Eltos, which added 4.22% to 13.09 leva, Toplivo (up 1.64%) and TK Hold (up 0.37%).

Sparky Eltos's advance comes after the company announced Q1 earnings in the amount of 2.468 million leva (1.261 mln euros), comapred with 98,000 leva for the corresponding period a year ago.

The company's forthcoming general meeting of shareholders will be discussing proposals for allocation of 2007 profit, undistributed profit from prior periods and reserves.

In spite of local indexes' advances today, on a weekly basis, 37 stocks in BG40 end lower than last Friday.

Six companies lost more than 10% for the week. These are Euroins (-14.36%), Synergon Holding (-13.49%), Doverie United Hodling (-13.08%), Central Cooperative Bank (-12.98%), Holding Varna A (-11.45%) and Moststroy (-10.44%).

Petrol and Bulgarian Holding Company posted slight losses – respectively -0.14% and -0.17%.

BG40 fell 4.66% this week to 332.72 points and SOFIX lost 4.33% to 1147.84.
