Karoll, BenchMark and Elana Trading With Most Transactions in 2007
Karoll, BenchMark Finance and Elana Trading are the investment intermediaries which realized the biggest number of transactions on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange in 2007, BSE's annual statistics reveals.
The clients of Karoll made a total of 170,000 deals worth 496 mln leva (253.6 mln euros), while those of BenchMark Finance and Elana Trading made 88,000 and 75,000, respectively.
We remind that IP Karoll topped all monthly charts last year.
The clients of Eurobank EFG and Ug Market made more than 50,000 deals during the past year. Capman and Popularna Kasa 95 rank immediately after them.
Deltastock, Zagora Finarcoop and First Financial Brokerage House (FFBH) also make it into the top 20.
There were a total of 250 trade sessions in 2007 on BSE. The annual turnover stood at 9.946 bln leva (5.085 bln euros), which averages 39.78 mln leva (20.339 mln euros) per day, statistics shows.
The number of transactions last year came to 490,551, or an average of 1,962 per day. Some 4.443 mln shares changed hands each day, or 1.11 bln in total.
Back in 2006, the number of transactions for the entire year was 213,600 and turnover stood at 3.384 bln leva (1.730 bln euros). This made an average of 857.83 deals worth 13.59 mln leva (6.948 mln euros) a day (there were 249 trade sessions in 2006).
