In the last session of the week the SOFIX index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) failed to maintain its early gains to close 0.05% down at 441.59 points.

The other indexes ended the day higher. BG40 posted the biggest gain advancing by 0.87% to 132.52 points. BGREIT and BGTR30 closed 0.58% and 0.61% up to 50.69 points and 355.74 points, respectively.

BSE's overall turnover amounted to 1.92 mln leva. The bond market accounted for nearly 507,000 leva of the total figure.

M+S Hydraulic was on e of the main contributors to BSE's turnover on the day. A total of 59,924 shares in the company traded hands on the day. The stock appreciated by 2.83% to 7.35 leva per share.

The traded volume on the position of Sopharma came to 41,700 shares. The stock of price of the company went up by 0.8% to 4.425 leva per share. A total of 65,802 shares in Chimimport changed hands on the day. The stock of the company barely budged up by 0.03% to 3.4 leva.

Stara Planina Hold advanced by 1.54% to 3.96 leva per share on the day after 10,097 shares traded.

Lead & Zinc Complex complex was among Thursday's decliners. The stock price of the company went down by 3.35% to 10.1 leva per share.

The indexes posted a mixed weekly performance. SOFIX and BGREIT shed 0.27% and 2.18%, respectively. BG40 advanced by 1.21% over the last four days, while BGTR30 gained 0.53%.

The monthly performance of the indexes is as follows: SOFIX (-0.86%), BG40 (-0.9%), BGREIT (-1.38%) and BGTR30 (-1.38%).

Despite the lackluster performance in April the indexes are still in positive territory in 2011: SOFIX (+21.87%), BG40 (15.54%), BGREIT (16.93%) and BGTR30 (17.21%).
