More than 70 new products will premiere at the 66th International Autumn Technical Fair opening here on September 27, the organizer of the event, International Fair Plovdiv, said in a press release on Thursday.

The largest number of products is in environmental protection and includes energy-saving devices and new building materials.

Seventeen products will be shown for the first time in the world, among them devices for purification of air and water without chemical treatment. Fifteen articles will be shown for the first time in Europe. One of the most interesting among them is a diesel-powered unmanned remote-controlled shunting locomotive. The engine can operate in conditions which pose a health hazard and which are off limits to humans.

A new exhibition starts within this year's Autumn Technical Fair, Intermin Expo, showcasing the development of the mining industry. An international conference discussing the sustainable development of mining in Central and Eastern Europe is due on September 27 and 28.
