The major indexes of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) posted declines in Wednesday's early session but SOFIX and BG 40 ended the day higher.

The blue-chip index advanced by 0.81%, to 444.09 points, while BG40 closed 0.79% up at 120.78 points. BG TR30 gained 0.37%, to 338.09 points. BGREIT was the only decliner on the day slipping by 0.30%, to 47.21 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to nearly 680,000 leva. The turnover of the market for compensatory instruments exceeded 146,000 leva. A total of 70 issues were traded on the day with 27 of the stocks posting price gains.

Sopharma's stock appreciated by 2.45% to 4.10 leva per share. The traded volume on the position amounted to 17,951 shares.

Banking stocks ended the day mixed. Advancers included Central Cooperative Bank (+0.84%, to 1.44 leva), Bulgarian-American Credit Bank (+0.58%, to 17.40 leva), while decliners were Corporate Commercial Bank (-2.50%, to 58.50 leva) and First Investment Bank (-0.74%, to 2.68 leva).

Infrastructire stocks ended the day on positive territory. Holding Roads advanced by 4.63%, to 2.69 leva per share, Moststroy gained 2.50% to 4.10 leva per share, while Trace Group Hold closed 0.64% up at 70.50 leva per share.

Kremikovtzi's stock price went down by 10.00%, to 0.18 leva per share.

Lead & Zinc Complex advanced by 0.48% to 14.75 leva per share despite the negative news surrounding the company.
