The SOFIX blue-chip index of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) broke the 500-points level in today's early session to remain above that mark until the end of the session. SOFIX closed above 500 points for the first time since October 30, 2008. The index advanced by 2.44% to 501.73 points on the day.

A total of 93 issues were traded on the day with 70 of the companies posting price gains.

The other three indexes also ended the day higher. The broader BG 40 advanced by 2.28%, to 135.26 points. BG REIT closed 1.91% up at 46.31 points, while BG TR30 gained 2.25%, to 367.59 points.

BSE's overall turnover came to 2.38 mln leva, while the value of the over-the-counter trades came to 3.31 mln leva as at 3:00 p.m..

Enemona's stock closed 8.40% up at 11.60 leva per share. A total of 17,257 shares in the company traded hands on the day.

A total of 48,628 shares in Industrial Holding Bulgaria traded hands on the day. The stock of the company appreciated by 3.26%, to 2.15 leva per share.

Sopharma gained 3.21% on the day. Closing at 4.18 leva per share.

Banking stocks were also among today's advancers: Corporate Commercial Bank (+2.33%, to 1.63 leva), First Investment Bank (+4.33%, to 3.28 leva), Bulgarian-Аmerican Credit Bank (+5.26%) and Corporate Commercial Bank (+0.35%, to 57.45 leva).

Lead & Zinc Complex's stock price went up by 0.33% to 15.40 leva per share. Orgachim advanced by 3.04% to 105.10 points.

Chimimport was also among today's gainers. The stock of the company added 0.84% to its value, closing at 2.65 leva per share. Chimimport's preferred stock gained nearly as much to 2.64 leva per share.

Other advancers on the day included Holding Roads (+1.58%, to 3.85 leva), Trace Group Hold (+1.30%, to 78.00 leva and Moststroy (+0.72%, to 5.31 leva).

Sparky Eltos gained 1.32%, to 2.30 leva, while Toplivo's stock price went up by 2.26%, to 5.88 leva.

Nearly 1.00% (108 274 shares) of the capital of Euroins traded hands on the day. The stock appreciated by 4.00%, to 1.90 leva per share. Eurohold Bulgaria is up 3.69%, to 1.46 leva per share.
