Kostenez-HHI JSCo-Kostenets posted a net profit of 175,000 leva (0.74 leva/share) in the first quarter of 2007 compared to a loss of 269,000 leva (1.14 leva/share) a year ago, the company’s financial report filed in BSE-Sofia shows.

Total revenues increased 13% to 3.726 mln leva in the three months ended 31 March versus 3.29 mln leva in the same period of 2006. Operating costs went down 37,000 leva to 3.532 mln leva.

Kostenez-HHI JSCo-Kostenets has a core capital of 236,000 leva, and its own capital totals 15.77 mln leva as of 31 March.

Kostenez-HHI JSCo-Kostenets invested 21.618 mln leva last year. Most of the investments went to buying machines and equipment (21.578 mln leva), while 16,000 and 24,000 leva were spent on buildings and land respectively.

Maritza 97 AD and AKB Aktiv control 34.07 and 28.78% of Kostenez-HHI’s capital. Tezhka Mehanizatsia Ltd. and Company Build Commerce Ltd. hold 14.39 and 7.19% respectively.
