It seems as is if it was yesterday when I last wrote “Join me next week for another stop on our journey around the hotels in the Authentic Bulgaria selection.” It was an interesting week for me and I hope for you too.

I don't know where the weekend will take me, but I do have a very interesting suggestion to all of you who love beautiful places, classy hotels and fine wine. If that sounds like you, read on.

Now let me ask you do you remember anything at all from Greek or Roman mythology? Do you know who is the God of the Sun? Or the God of wine? Some of you know already, some of you will learn it now – the God of wine according to Roman myths is Bacchus (and according to Bulgarian beliefs he is also the patron of culinary art).

Today I will tell you something about Bacchus. Not only because I love wine, but because I want to present a wonderful hotel to your attention – Bacchus Hotel, a part of the Authentic Bulgaria project.

The hotel is situated in Shipkovo. It is a cosy two-storey hotel just 10 km away from the town of Troyan and 3 km away from the local mineral baths where SPA is just a modern word, which cannot describe Nature's gifts for the body, mind and soul.

Of course a hotel with that name has a fine collection of wine. What else is there? You should definitely dip into the mineral water swimming pool, even if it is winter and the temperature is freezing outside.

The nature in the area of Shipkovo is so pure and welcoming, you will never want to go back to the city again.

The hotel has developed 4 tourist profiles:
-Sports profile – snow, water and extreme winter sports;
-Exploration trips – connected with Bulgaria's religion, folklore and geography;
-Rehabilitation of illnesses of the vascular and digestive system;
-Mountain, ecological, village and hunting tourism.

The hotel also offers another fantastic way of relaxation and fun – pottery classes. Guests watch the art of clay-modeling and can try doing themselves if they want to. That sounds like the most interesting thing to me. I've always wanted to be able to make on of these beautiful things myself.

The hotel has 10 rooms, and a night costs 30 euros per person so if all that sounded tempting to you, there is nothing to ponder on, just go.

As some people say “The only way to overcome temptation is by completely succumbing to it”. Well, I agree.
