Members of the Union of Brewers in Bulgaria (UBB) sold a total of 78,602 hl of beer in April, UBB announced. Year-to-date sales amount to 1,366,116 hl.

Zagorka AD remains leader in the branch with sales of 450,019 hl. In April alone the company sold 159,000 hl of beer – over 19,000 hl more than Kamenitza (139,869) and 36,000 hl more than Carlsberg Bulgaria (123,820 hl).

Carlsberg Bulgaria and Kamenitza sold 382,000 hl and 370,000 hl beer in the first four months of the year.

Bolyarka-VT sold 46,476 hl in April and 139,757 hl year-to-date. Its exports reached 1,578 hl last month ranking the company second in terms of exports after Kamenitza with 2,242 hl.

Lomsko Pivo and Agrima sold 9,024 and 390 hl of beer in April and 23,076 hl and 880 hl in the first four months of the year. UBB does not provide data about the sales of Ledenika and MM and some of the smaller breweries.
