Members of the Union of Brewers in Bulgaria (UBB) sold a total of 436,055 hl of beer in March, UBB announced. Year-to-date sales amount to 887,512 hl.

Zagorka AD won the number one place by sales in the first quarter with 290,993 hl beer sold. In March alone its sales hit 131,779 hl.

Carlsberg Bulgaria AD and Kamenitza AD are second and third with 258,113 hl and 230,583 hl respectively. Their March sales amounted to 126,922 hl and 124,583 hl. Kamenitza remains leader by sales abroad with 807 hl sold on the international markets versus 844 hl in February.

Bolyarka-VT sold 46,307 hl beer in March and 93,281 hl in the first quarter. Its exported 200 hl last month.

Lomsko Pivo, which plans to list on BSE and Agrima AD sold 6,177 hl and 243 hl of beer respectively in March and 14,052 hl and 490 hl since the beginning of the year.
