Three of the four indexes on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange started the new year with declines. SOFIX dropped the most – 1.72% to 1737.42 points.

BGREIT lost 1.06% to 1085.81, while BG40 fell 0.31% to 516.47 points. The only advancing indicator was BGREIT, which added 1.44% and closed at 104.73.

Of 107 active issues, 41 rose and 9 remained unchanged. Daily turnover reached just 2.09 mln leva (1.068 mln euros). The transactions on the block segment resulted in 29.174 mln leva (14.916 mln euros), mainly due to deals with shares of Chimimport and Central Cooperative Bank

6.249 mln shares of Chimimport changed hands at 3.25 leva, and 1.921 mln CCB shares were transferred at 3.99 leva.

Four of the seventeen active issues on the Official Market advanced. Among these Petrol gained the most – 1.52% to an average of 5.36 leva. A total of 5,079 shares changed hands today at prices between 5 and 5.37 leva.

The other gainers on this segment, after small-volume transactions, were Orgachim (+0.48% to an average of 647.14 leva), Monbat (+0.03% to 30.57 leva) and Holding Varna A (+0.16% to an average of 44.58 leva).

The market value of Synergon Holding dropped by 4.45% today to an average of 13.96 leva at a turnover of 948 shares.

Industrial Holding Bulgaria fell 3.35% to an average of 10.96 leva at a turnover of 4,428 shares. Sparky Eltos and CCB suffered significant losses, shedding 3.10% and 3.39%, respectively, to 15.91 leva and 10.26 leva.

Chimimport declined 2.64% to an average of 15.1 leva at a turnover of 16,048 shares.

On the Unofficial Market of Equities Himko was the second most rising stock, gaining 7.69% to 0.14 leva.

The shares of Aroma surged 7.54% to an average of 21.11 leva on news of a decision for capital increase using own funds. At a general meeting held February 19, shareholders approved a proposal for capital increase using own resources, from 5,163,933 leva to 15, 491,799 leva.

The company will issue 10,327,866 common, registered paperless shares with a face value of 1 leva. Investors holding the stock on the date 14 days after the GM date will be entitled to receiving new shares.
