Revenues from night lodging payments in the first quarter of 2007 reached 75.927 mln leva in Bulgaria including 46.742 mln leva from foreigners, NSI data showed.

For the whole year 2006 revenues amounted to 578 mln leva with foreigners accounting for 75.75% of them.

A total of 720,000 people stayed overnight in Bulgaria in the first quarter of this year where 213,000 of them were foreigners. The number of night-stays was 1.672 mln with Bulgarians accounting for 796,000 or 47.62% of them.

Highest revenues in the period had Sofia (25.412 mln leva), followed by Blagoevgrad (11.06 mln leva) and Smolyan (8.745 mln leva).

Sofia, Varna and Plovdiv had revenues between 6.7 mln leva and 4.6 mln leva from accommodation payments, while Pazardjik, Stara Zagora, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo and Burgas also had more than 1 mln night-stays in the period.
