Two months beforre the opening of the International Technical Fair the reserved exhibition space is 8% more than last year. It is expected that the number of participants as well as the reserved exhibition space, which this July is 10% more than last July, will increase even more before the opening date – 24 September 2007.

A square meter of exhibition space in Plovdin costs 110 euros, 200 euros in Romania and 300 euros in Turkey.

All privileges previuosly given to Bulgarian companies are dropped this year because of the Law for protection of competitiveness, which requires equal treatment of all particaipants in the fair. Currently Bulgarian participants are 2% more than in July 2006.

„We will do everything we can so that our clients and partners have a great exhibition,“ said Georgi Gergov, executive director of Plovdiv International Fair. The organizers are preparing a special space for large machines and equipment, beacuse of the huge interest in investment goods and technologies.

As of July 12, a total of 9 foreign countries have filed applications for participation, while in Autumn 2006 the number of foreign countries was just three. Companies from Austria, Belgium, Italy, Chinese Taipei, Turkey, France, Czech Republic, Hungary, and South Africa will participate. There will be collective exhibitions from Germany, Poland, Romania, The Russian Federation, Serbia, and Turkey.
