Indexes ended the ninth trade session of 2008 with declines. So far this year, Bulgarian indexes have not advanced on a weekly basis.

The blue chip SOFIX lost 1.54% to 1634.61 points after reaching 1600.54 at one point today.

The broad BG40 fell 1.80% to 478.78 points, and BGTR30 dropped 1.63% to 1036.47 close to its base level. BGREIT, which reflects the stocks of real estate investment trusts, lost 0.20% to 103.34 points.

Investors were actively selling Lead and Zinc Complex shares today. As a result, the latter dropped 4.52% to an average of 82.58 leva, close to its September levels.

Shares of the Stara Zagora-based Trace Group Hold fell 7.27% to an average of 219.31 leva, several deals were made at 210 leva. A total of 3,782 shares changed hands today.

Holding Patishta lost 4.19% to 1,399.57 leva and Moststroy dropped 8.17% to 215.64 leva.

Among the blue chips, Chimimport fell 3.21% to 13.86 leva, and Industrial Holding Bulgaria declined 2.05% to 10.05 leva.

Alcomet dropped 4.86% to 15.28 leva at a turnover of 2,530 shares. Eurohold Bulgaria lost 2.15% to an average of 6.37 leva. A lower price has only been recorded in August.

SOFIX and BG40 have lost around 7.5% since the start of 2008.

Daily turnover today stood at a little over 6.6 mln leva (3.374 mln euros).
