The number of foreign tourists who will visit Bulgaria in 2008 will grow by 7-8%, compared to the previous year, Anelia Krushkova, chairwoman of the State Tourism Agency, said at the Sts. Constantine and Helena resort today.

The number of foreign tourists that visited the country in the first three months of the year marked a 20-percent increase compared to the corresponding period of 2007, Krushkova added. The revenue from international tourists amounted to 291,400,000 euros in the period, up 14.8%, the BTA reported.

Over 5 mln foreign tourists visited Bulgaria in 2007. The international tourism revenue for the period totaled 2.284 bln euros, up 10.8% year on year.

Bulgaria will sign an agreement with South Korea aimed at the attracting of tourists. The country has already signed similar agreements with Iran and the Czech Republic.
