As you know the components of BG40 are the 40 companies with the greatest number of transactions in the past 6 months. Statistics for the September 1 – January 30 period shows those two companies were the least liquid issues in the period concerned.
BSE will announce the official results after the end of February.
Last week BSE officials said a meeting of the commission responsible for indexes' calculation has been scheduled for the end of February. A proposal for structural changes in indexes will be discussed then.
Besides Decotex and Polimeri (with 437 and 1202 transactions respectively) other issues in danger of exclusion are Emka, Favorit Hold and Oil and Gas Exploration and Production.
On the other hand, the most liquid stocks with no danger of exclusion are Chimimport, Eurohold Bulgaria, Monbat and Lead and Zinc Complex. There have been more than 10,000 transactions on each of these positions during the past five months.
8,000 deals with shares of Kaolin have been recorded during the period, and 7,752 with FIB stock. The top 10 also includes Industrial Holding Bulgaria, Synergon Holding, Doverie United Holding and Orgachim.
