Polimeri AD (

) posted a pre-tax profit in the amount of 1.464 mln leva (748,531 euros) in 1H, or 0.27 leva per share, compared with 781,000 leva (399,318 euros), or 0.15 leva per share for the respective period a year ago.

Net sales revenues stand at 24.313 mln leva (12.431 mln euros) for the period, which is12.05 % up compared to a year ago, BSE reports.

Production sales amount to 23.078 mln leva (11.799 mln euros), of which 8.308 mln leva come from the domestic market and 14.77 mln leva from export. Revenues from caustic soda sales amount to 15.228 mln leva in 1H, from liquid chlorine to 4.578 mln leva, and from hydrochloric acid to 2.448 mln leva .

Total costs stand at 24.254 mln leva (12.400 mln euros), against 21.593 mln leva (11.040 mln euros) a year ago. The increase is due to increased electricity costs, as well as repair works, materials, transport and maintenance, advertising and consultants' fees, rent etc.

As of June 30, Polimeri's assets stand at 107.86 mln leva (55.147 mln euros), against 103.626 mln leva (66.788 mln euros) in 2006 1H. The company has a core capital in the amount of 5.325 mln leva (2.722 mln euros), equity capital stands at 95.318 mln leva (48,735 mln euros).

Main shareholders are Juriskando Connsultants Corp and FIK AKB Fores controlling 36.6% and 24.8% respectively, and Bulgarian Holding Company with 12.37%.
