The market capitalization of the 52 real estate investment trusts listed on BSE accounts for 8.16% of the bourse's total market value (according to stock prices as at August 7). The REITs have a combined mar cap of 1.64 billion leva (838.5 mln euros), and the total figure for BSE is 20.15 billion leva (10.3 mln euros).

We must note here that the largest capitalization among REITs in Bulgaria is that of Arco Towers RET (the former Singular REIT) - a total of 650 million leva (332 mln euros), according to a stock price of 1,000 leva/share as at the end of last year. The stock has not been traded since then.

If we exclude Arco Towers REIT from the calculations, the capitalization of REITs would be down to 994.4 million leva (508.4 mln euros), or 4.9% of BSE's total market value.

Other larger funds are Elana Agricultural Land Opportunity REIT (118.24 million leva, 60.4 mln euros), Fair Play Properties REIT (99.37 million leva, 50.8 mln euros), Bulgaria Real Estate REIT (88.26 million leva, 45 mln euros), Advance Terrafund REIT (82.38 million leva, 42.1 mln euros) and Sopharma Properties REIT (81.9 million leva, 41.8 mln euros).

According to the Financial Supervision Commission 's official statistics, there are a total of 64 real estate investment trusts registered in Bulgaria. Some of them are not listed on BSE, and some are, but their stock has not been traded yet.
