Consumer price index stood at 101.3 in September versus August, and inflation came to 1.3%, the National Statistics Institute reported.

Consumer prices have risen an average of 8.9% between January and September 2007, and 13.1% year-on-year.

Year-on-year inflation came to 7%.

Prices of the following food prices rose in September: rice – 0.4%, flour – 5.1%, bread – 0.7%, pasta – 5.2%, pork – 2.8%, chicken – 0.3%, minced meat – 2.2%, veal – 1.9%, sausages and salami – between 1 and 1.5%, fish and fish products – 0.6%, milk – 3.6%, yogurt – 3.1%, Bulgarian cheese – 2.4%, yellow cheese – 5.2%, butter – 5.1%, margarine – 2.7%, vegetable oil – 7.1%, citrus fruits – 2.1%, tomatoes – 4.5%, beans – 0.9%, lentils – 1.7%, melons and water melons – 4.5%, homogenized baby food and diet food – 1.5%. coffee – 4.4%, mineral water – 1.3%, spirits – 1.1%.

Prices of the following dropped – grapes – 16.1%, peppers – 11.7 %, onion – 1.1%, apples – 18.1%, cabbage – 7.4%, cucumbers – 15.6%.

Among non-food items, the following rose – clothes – 2.6%, materials for repair works and house maintenance – 1.5%, household gas fuel – 0.7%, household liquid fuel – 4.6%, furniture – 0.7%, heating electrical appliances – 7.9%, diesel fuel – 5.5%, solid fuel – 1.5%, taxi fares – 1.9%, bus transport – 1.9%, gasoline A 95H – 3.3%, gasoline A98 H – 4.3%, personal hygiene goods – 0.8%, education services – 5.8%.

Meanwhile, the prices of the following decreased: refrigerators and freezers – 0.2%, cookers – 0.3%, TV sets and antennae – 1.9%, holiday vacation services – 19.7%, etc.

Medical services rose 1.1%, and dental care 1.6%.
