Sirma AD-Plovdiv registered a non-consolidated loss of 16,000 leva for the first quarter of 2007 compared to 24,000 leva a year ago, the company’s reports filed in BSE-Sofia show.

Total revenues amounted to 21,000 leva in the qurter ended 31 March versus 10,000 leva in the same period of 2006. Costs increased from 34,000 leva do 37,000 leva.

Sirma AD is a producer of cocoons, natural silk yarns, ginned cotton, linen fibres, etc. The company sells its products on the domestic and on the international market, and also produces and processes agricultural produce.

Veno Holding controls 49.45% of Sirma’s capital. Sirma 99 AD holds 26.40%.

Sirma stock was last traded on 19 April at 1.51 leva/share.
