At the end of 2007 third quarter the average home price in Sofia, Varna and Burgas was the highest in the country, National Statistics Institute (NSI) data shows.

The average price in the capital city stood at 1904 leva/sqm, versus 1647 leva/sqm in Q2. In Varna the average home price was 1753 leva and in Burgas it stood at 1483 leva.

Ruse and Plovdiv are also among the cities with most expensive real estate, followed by Stara Zagora, Blagoevgrad and Pleven with average prices of above 1000 leva per sqm.

Prices are between 900 and 1,000 leva per sqm in three cities – Veliko Tarnovo, Haskovo and Pernik. Next in the chart are Vidin, Vratsa, and Sliven.

Homes are cheapest in Yambol, Silistra, Lovech, Kiustendil, and Sofia-district, according to NSI.
