SOFIX declined 2.03% today to 1268.27 points, BG40 plunged 2.64% to 358.28. Those are the indicators' lowest levels since, respectively, May 11 for SOFIX and July 23 for BG40.

Turnover stood at 11.21 mln leva (5.73 mln euros), compared with 10.036 mln leva (5.13 mln euros) yesterday.

15 SOFIX stocks ended on negative territory. Chimimport fell below 10 leva for the first time since May 10. Banks were the biggest decliners today.

First Investment Bank lost more than 8% to an average of 8.20 leva/share while Corporate Commercial Bank and Central Cooperative Bank shed more than 3% to respectively 85.40 and 6 leva.

Many holdings also closed on the negative. Eurohold Bulgaria slipped 2.57% to 5.30 leva and Doverie United Holding and Industrial Holding Bulgaria dropped 2.49% and 0.13% respectively to 12.13 and 7.48 leva.

Only three issues in SOFIX closed higher today – Albena, Euroins and M+S Hydraulic.

The biggest gainers were Kauchuk and Agria Group Holding, which surged some 25.90% and 11.72% respectively to 57.91 leva and 7.35 leva.

TPP Maritza Iztok 3 and Media System on the other hand plunged 29.97% and 22.48%.

First Investment Bank is the leader in terms of number of transactions (210), followed by Chimimport (202), Monbat (138) and Billboard (137). The highest volume (297,000 shares) was traded on the position of BenchMark Properties REIT.
